Pelagos - window shopping, and "no more rubber strap"?
Went to try on a Pelagos this weekend, I've always thought it looked like an amazing piece and one I'm considering working towards adding to the collection. I've got fairly slim wrists but big hands, and I take up a fair amount of space - I could have taken a better photo, but how does this look?
One thing the dealer said that is of wider interest; she said that from June, the rubber strap would no longer be included. Has anyone else heard that, or is it just an attempt to get a rapid sale? :) |

I couldn't clarify that but it seems that Tudor have stopped including extra straps in there watches now so its possible she is telling the truth.

I'd be rather surprised a dealer would know so far in advance. But, it does fit the recent pattern.

I think it looks fantastic!
Not surprised to hear about the loss of the strap. Tudor has been steadily dialing it back in terms of bracelets and straps available with their new watch sales. |

Rubber and NATO straps are fantastic, high margin money makers as after sale add ons or “free” sales incentives, so perhaps not surprising. A bit sad though.

I actually asked my AD in Melbourne on this very thing about 3 weeks ago and she said that Tudor had stopped including the fabric straps on the Black Bays but were still shipping the Rubber strap on the Pelagos. FWIW

It looks good on you. I do believe what she said is true.

The watch fits you well. If you like it, then go for it. Regarding the rubber straps, not sure if they will stop being included, but I can say the quality is top notch and quite comfortable as well.
