Avoid grey dealers, they will offer you a very poor return.

Ebay again is a difficult place to sell sometimes, but sometimes you get the best price on there, just remember the fees will be taken off and make sure you either state 3.4% for PAYPAL or don't accept it, it's a sore one to lose another few percent.

Private sales, again not the best time to be selling a watch, you'll struggle to get the proper money for the watch, if you're lucky you'll find someone who wants that watch and will offer you the proper amount, but for this you really need to be registered and a member of a few UK based forums as well as here to maximise the sale.

As for price, well Daytona TTs don't hold their value, you'll be looking at getting back about £5500-6000 if it's in as new condition, i can't see it going for more than that, plus i know you have the steel dial, which isn't the most popular so you might be looking at the lower end of that scale.

As mentioned above, I would try to sell the watch privately but due to bad economic times it may be hard moving it. DSSD is a great choice!

Fair play grey dealers have offered me £4500 bit low.I will have a go at selling it.But i'm not in a rush as there isn't any thing wrong with the watch. And as my mum would say "it'a not eating any thing"
As in 6 months time i may beable to buy a deepsea for under £5k

Also don't get downhearted about my estimate, you never know, you could get more, but my head says that it's tough times ahead and TT Daytonas have always been the worst at keeping their value, which i always found funny as i prefer the black face one to the SS daytona black face.

Make sure to swap wrists otherwise you'll have one arm like Arnies and the other like a twig

LOL. So true. I see one just came up for sale on TRF for around $7,500!!! Wow...there's a part of me that wished I stuck with my plan to buy around Feb-Mar as it would have saved me considerable $. Oh well, no need to dwell on that now.

To the OP, even if you don't get top dollar for your TT Daytona, at least you can rest easy knowing you will probably save considerable $ on a DSSD...lets face it, ALL watches are only going to get cheaper the longer one holds out to buy. '09 is going to be a rough year if you are trying to sell items you recently bought.

Are you sure you would choose it anytime...it kind of sounded like you didn't know at the beginning?

I advise you not to do this. If you list an item on eBay and say in your ad that there will be an extra fee to cover Paypal fees, EBay will remove your listing. It happened to me. They say the cost of "dong business" (their words) needs to be included in your price. I asked why shipping is different and she said "it just is".
