Independents who service vintage chronos
Hi all, I have a 40s Lemania with the ch27 that could use a service. I had Central Watch(whom ive used in the past with so so results) give it an evaluation for service last march for the heck of it and the estimate to service it was well over 1k, which to me seemed ridiculous. Does anyone know of any good independents that specialize perhaps in servicing vintage chronographs with this type of movement?

You might try Carignan (pronounced Carrigan) in Belmont, NH. He recently did a 70's, GP chrono for me. I dropped it off, and he shipped it back. Far as I can tell, he did a nice job.
Price wasn't cheap, but I thought it was reasonable for the job. |
