Blancpain 500 fathoms or Breitling Emergency II ?

I'm looking for a sport watch with something a little different.
The Blancpain Fathom series is the original dive watch.
The Breitling Emergency is the only watch of its kind on the planet.
Both pretty big (the Emergency is 53MM IIRC !). Both brushed Titanium.
Both around the same cost; 10K like new in box.

Emergency if you can pull it off. It’s bad AF!

I don’t know you personally, so maybe you do go on Bear Grylls type excursions in the wilderness. If you do, then I commend you and the breitling makes sense.

If you don’t, then spend the money on finishing, quality and an actual mechanical movement.

fifty fathoms and 500 fathoms are two very different watches; one is a beast, the other is a bigger beast.

between the two you mentioned, Blancpain. I'd look for pre owned though as depreciation from MSRP can be pretty savage. There's also quite a few version of the fifty out there now, polished steel, brushed steel, titanium, gold, black dials, 2 different blue dials...

500, GMT version....

I personally prefer the Blancpain here but I also couldn’t pull off that Breitling.

Blancpain every day and twice on Sunday unless you are at high risk of getting lost in unpopulated areas.
