DJ41 on Jubilee comfort factor
After a few months contemplating a second watch, and passing on a Skydweller, I bought a 41mm DJ on a Jubilee yesterday to join my only other watch (BLNR).
Decided on rhodium over the Wimbledon when comparing them in the flesh. Mostly due to the lume hour markers. The one thing I have really noticed on day 1, is how much more comfortable the DJ is! As an experiment I wore it overnight with no issues. When I've tried that with the BLNR it was way too uncomfortable. Same with my previous Rolex (YM and Kermit). Is it the Jubilee bracelet, or the DJ itself, or a combination? Either way, it's the new daily beater and I really love it. |

Combination I think. The jubilee is hugely comfortable but the watch head is also thin and light. All contributes. I love mine.

That's a great combination. As Steve said, the jubilee is a very comfortable bracelet, and I think there is noticeably less weight with the non-fluted vs. the fluted. So, best of both worlds.

Same opinion here: really comfortable!
(nevertheless I also ordered recent also the oyster bracelet for this reference. Gives me the possibility to change "now and then")

I would suspect it is the combination, as previously stated.
My 1987 36mm OPD has a Jubilee and my new 39mm Explorer has the 3 link Oyster. I notice no difference between them; they are both extremely comfortable.

Congratulations from a fellow DJ41 Rhodium owner and, no, you're not imagining things, the Jubilee bracelet makes a huge difference on fit and comfort. The way it comes off the lugs and around the wrist allows for a more natural and accurate oval shape if you will.

The jubilee bracelet really is comfortable and if you're used to lighter watches, the DJ on a jubilee is light enough that you barely feel it on. Especially in comparison to a SS GMT. It's like 28 grams lighter.
I love that combination. The rhodium dial really is stunning. My only preference difference is that I prefer the Flutted bezel. But you'll be haoot with that watch for a long Jung time. |

I did like the fluted, but I wanted to bring this one in on budget as a new daily wearer.
That said I loved it once I saw it in the flesh. Now I know how comfortable it is, I am so glad I didn't go with another professional (or even Tudor). I realised the comfort/size thing was an issue when I passed on the Skydweller. Quite happy with my 2 watch combo. |

I keep preaching it but I prefer the Jubilee over the Oyster bracelet. I bought exactly the same DJ but with a fluted bezel.
