How do you like your deep sea
My AD just called said they have a deep sea and some other stainless in. Wants me to swing by. The deep sea strikes my interest. They sent me a photo with the coffin and all. How does that watch wear. Is it heavy to big ? I appreciate any feedback it will help my decision. I know it’s a large watch

If you have at least a 7.5" wrist you will love it. You can adjust the bracelet precisely with the glidelock feature. The domed heavy glass is spectacular and this watch is unique in construction. I would go for the D blue though. I love my 116660.

It is my daily wear. I have a large wrist and it fits great. Would snag a D-Blue like ALF said.

Definitely go have a look, it’s a phenomenal watch.
IMO wrist size doesn’t have as much to do with wearing this one as it’s really not a large watch lug to lug compared to say a big pilot etc. The biggest factor is whether you can get used to the case height at almost 18mm, and the weight I loved mine but decided the SD43 was more comfortable. Let us know how it works out. |

I have never seen someone with the DS, that has smallish wrists, so you should at least have the 7“ plus, to wear the watch, and not the other way around.
My Deepsea black 116660 was my first Rolex and I love it to death, it is really an engineering marvel, it IS just perfect! Of course I have an 8,5“ wrist, so it looks like a standard sub on my wrist:-) BTW, i prefer the old one 116660 over the new one, even the strong taper and lugs are better! So, go check it out at your AD, it will not disappoint... BR Torsten Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk |

I got one last month. My ninth stainless steel Rolex in 13 years. It's a bonkers reference. You will know what I mean when you try it on.
With its many improvements, it came home with me! |

Hm. I’m a tall guy but not a big wrist guy. I like my explorer 2. I guess I can only just go try it on. It is the one with the date but all black face.

They all have a date
The deep sea is my favorite reference. The crystal, the size, the depth rating, all make it a really cool watch to own. It is on the bigger side, but it can still be worn with a shirt cuff. Great watch! |

I got one a couple of weeks ago; in all honesty, I have not worn it daily but do like it a lot on and off the wrist. I wore it a week then had the diver's extension removed and replaced with 2 links that were removed during the initial sizing. I find it wears so much better without the divers's extension.

I purchased the 126660 D-Blue in May and l just love this watch especially the dial when
the light catches it, in regards to the weight and height it has never been a problem with me because l except the fact this watch was designed by Rolex to be taken to a depth of 3900M so there was no way this watch would weigh the same as a Sub and in saying that this watch is very comfortable to wear and l wear the DSSD as my main watch only swopping over with the 116600 SD4K |

I have the original D-Blue and love it. It sounds like the new one is even better.

It's an incredible watch and the D-Blue dial is my absolute favorite. Sadly I had to move mine as the height was just too much for me. Not so much the weight and the diameter was perfect but gave it 9 months and kept reaching for my other references constantly so I moved it on.

I don’t think you should worry so much, for me I would say get there and have a first hand feel and view of the piece, it just might not be what you want or vice verse.

I have owned no other watch more times, but it is, once for all, just too big and bulky for me. I even tried owning the new 126660, it is an improvement, but still it is too top heavy and bulky for my tastes. YMMV.

I have 6.5 inch wrist and have no problem wearing DSSD 116660 original. The watch weares different then my others. I love this watch a lot. You can adjust clasp anytime during the day to your liking comfort. The watch is big but this is one of many things that I like about this watch. I do scuba diving and can relate to this watch even more.

As someone else said, when you try it on insist that the diver extension be taken off. It makes all the difference in the world for comfort, the only danger is it will bring you one big step closer to buying it. |

It’s definitely a big watch but opinions will differ on how it wears because of preference. Try it on and see for yourself, it’s a beautiful watch!

My only challenge is how heavy it is on the wrist, It's cool time piece but I wouldn't want to own one honestly.

Just picked up my DSSD-Blue just 9 days ago. I am 6'4" with a 8 3/8 inch wrist.
I love it! I have a TT SubC bought earlier this year and after a while the 40mm was looking like a woman's watch on my wrist. I tried on a 116660 DSSD earlier and found the bracelet too small for the big watch, making it awkwardly top heavy. Was told the 126660 was better, so I ordered (no risk) it in Sep and arrived 3 months later. The 126660 is so much better-balanced, if that makes sense. The better 3235 movement was a plus also. It fits, but still getting an extra link, courtesy of the AD. The domed crystal makes the watch look amazing. Best yet, after picking it up, he took me aside, and asked if I wanted to see a stainless sub (date), root beer and a few others. Suspicions confirmed... |
