Went to my AD today and it’s almost too shocking...

...that I hung out for a while while my wife put down a deposit for a special order. They ended up giving us a couple bottles of Veuve for Christmas which was nice.

I can’t say I don’t think it’s publicly announced yet. It’s a special piece for a company’s 125th anniversary.

No but that would be awesome, I think they’re asking too much. I was wearing my 60th Speedy on the visit.

Maybe it's because I'm new here, but I really don't understand what this thread is about.

Veuve produces a very nice champagne and that merchant shows a sense of style. Good for you and your wife.

Me neither. Guess the forum is turning into twitter where people just write random stuff.
Guess he's happy about the water or the order and somewhere along the way shock was achieved.

It’s a sad state of watch collecting when “incoming” or “hey look at me/look what I bought” threads have turned into “I was allowed to visit an AD and put my name on a really long waiting list for the privilege of buying a really expensive watch”

'for a company's 125th anniversary', so presumably your order cost a substantial amount....

Will be more shocking if nothing was given to you.
