I like the white dial...

Some folks like the black, but I'm partial to the white dial... Especially after a bath.

I like white too.

EXPII has a very low profile on the wrist. I believe the case back is flatter compared to the dive watches. Tried one on a year ago and it was very comfortable. Love that newspaper-style shot!

Strap came from Watch Prince (20mm x 16mm Hadley genuine alligator with light padding). Buckle came from Strapped for Time (SS double deployant). Total cost was under $125, shipped.

And now for today's history lesson...

The white-dial Explorer with the red/blue bezel is very similar to a GMT made by Rolex in 1954. It is estimated that less than 200 white dialed model 6542 GMTs were produced for Pan Am ground crews. You can read about it on pg 58 of Vintage Rolex Sports Models by Martin Skeet and Nick Ural.

Class dismissed.

The white dial is stunning... and, she hides smudges on the glass so much better than the black dial
