Visited the Rolex store in Paris

I went into the store at Place Vendôme in Paris this week. I can confirm that they have an extensive collection of Datejusts 😂

The Paris store looks impressive even from the outside! No inside or showcase pics to share with us?

I don’t take pictures inside Rolex stores. I feel to weird about doing it. I did not think it was too impressive though.
You ring a bell to be buzzed in. You open the door and step into a little enclosed glass area and wait until they open the second door. I have never experienced that in any US stores.
The Place Vendôme is loaded with high end watch stores. There was the Patek Boutique, JLC store, Hublot, Breguet etc all next to one another.

I can totally understand about taking pictures. I'm a bit surprised that it wasn't impressive inside. I figure with it being in Paris and with a bunch of other high end watch stores in the vincinity, Rolex would step it up for this location. In either case, I'm sure it doesn't hinder their sales any either.

As for their security door system, I wonder if they had an issue before? Maybe some grab and run type incidents? I think there are some jewelry stores in SF Chinatown that have door systems similar to this.

The two Bjerke stores I visited in Norway had double doors.

That’s how most Rolex AD’s in the rest of the world are. Double anti bullet glass doors.

As does every other Rolex store in Paris when I was there couple of months ago. It used to be fun to go into a Rolex store, nowadays I don't even bother going in. Personnel in Paris usualy looks bored and kind of unhappy. Mainly chinese and Russian clients and thus the personnel is also, which is understandable. Did see at least three platinum Daytonas and some pm professional models and tons and tons of Datejusts.

I have been searching for a GMT or Sub for 6 months and on local wait lists in Southern California. I am likely going to give up soon. I am taking a trip to Paris next month, is it possible to get a yellow gold w rubber strap Daytona there? Do PM Daytonas sell at discounts or can they even be found?
