INCOMING - First Rolex
My first Rolex and I couldn't be happier. I wanted a classic piece that I could wear with swim trunks, a suit, and jeans. I think it will pair well with my Speedy Pro.
I contacted my local AD on TUESDAY after searching for an 114060 for a while. I did not contact this AD at first because they are in a big market and its the kind of place that has valet, security guards, locked doors, etc. and I just didn't think they would pay any attention to me having never purchased there before. Anyways, on Tuesday I contacted them via EMAIL and said I was looking for an 114060 and I know I have not done business in the past but would love to buy the watch and start a relationship. They told me on Tuesday they expect one "very shortly" and would let me know. All of this through email! I did not pay any attention to it really considering I had never been in the store before and was contacting them via email. Today I happened to be in the area of the AD and decided to go in (at the suggestion of some TRF members, thank you!) to show them I was a real person. I walk in and tell a sales associate my name and he says "Mr. ****** we have your watch in, it came in this morning. We were just about to call you". I tried to control my shock and said "Great, ill take it". lol. When it is meant to happen it happens. Thanks for looking. |
