Have you seen this PAM?
Hi all,
Looking for some expert advise. Recently purchased a 114060 sub after wanting it for many years and love it. Next watch will be a Panerai, which I have also wanted for a long time. Looking for a PAM to meet the following criteria, if possible: 1. Luminor, preferably 1950 2. 44 mm 3. Manual wind with REAR power reserve >> automatic 4. Small seconds 5. No date or GMT 6. Sandwich dial Thanks! |

I’m not an expert, but that exact set up doesn’t exist.
The only manual 44 mm 1950 is the 233, which doesn’t meet a number of your other criteria. |

Thanks for the responses, guys. I have seen the 422 and it’s gorgeous, but just too big for me at 47 mm. And the right sided crown on the 796 would bother me I think.
Will probably have to forgo manual wind. Any automatic 44 mm Luminors, 1950 or otherwise, with small seconds and no date? |

The only two persons that I know of that can immediatly answer your question are "Travelller" and "synequano". You can wait for any of them to read your post and answer you, or you can message them directly. Good luck finding your grail watch

I don't know if the Luminor Due is of interest to you, but I found the 943 that tiks some of your boxes. 45mm, Power Reserve on the back, Sandwich dial, No GMT,... but Date, Automatic, Not waterproof.

Are u looking for manual wind or auto movement ?
![]() My only Pam is 911 Luminor marina (so it has small second hand), 300m depth, manual wind with 8 day power reserve (no rear PR indicator), sandwich dial in a 44mm (not 1950), no date, no gmt It was just what I wanted along with a olive dial. This thread needs more pics. Lol Good luck in ur hunt ![]()

I have an 8” wrist and I’ve always felt the 372/422 sits way too high to be considered as a regular wearer IMO. Enjoy the search. That’s half the fun. |

If I was a new CEO and wanted to make a splash, 44mm variants of the 372/422 would have been in high demand and would please the masses. There’s always SIHH 2020!

737 is a manual, 44mm 1950 but it's a GMT, chrono and the power reserve is on the dial. Oh, and it's discontinued.

Thanks for all the responses. I suppose I should have mentioned that discontinued models are also up for grabs.

Or... should I just go super classic and get a pre-owned PAM111, which I've always really loved. Does anyone have an opinion as to weather rotating with a 40mm modern Sub and a 44mm Panerai luminor, like the 111, feel imbalanced? Does the Rolex end up feeling small?

The 111 is a great, classic piece. It would compliment your sub nicely.

OK. Sorry to be using this thread as a personal sounding board, but I think I'm honing in on what I really want. I have to say, I don't really see why I need a display back to see what is essentially an ETA movement on a diving watch. So now I'm thinking... PAM005! But- don't love the logo. Is there a past model, 44 mm Luminor Marina (small seconds) without the logo? I think the my whole obsession with having a power reserve was unnecessary.

I rotate all on " as per my mood " basis, but 000 and 232 takes most of the wrist time. As 000 and 232 are manual time only watches it is very easy to set up time , wound it and here you go. Quick date set up on Sub is also amazing making adjustments easy and fast. 162 is bit more time consuming, if you dont have Montegrappa pen with you, which in fact works as stinger tool for quick date set up. |
