Should I modify my collection?
Hi, I currently have 3 rolexes in my collection, which are -
116520 white dial daytona 14060 No date Sub two liner 16570 Exp II black dial But, wanted to know if it’s a good idea for me to modify my collection as below- 15450 or 15400 AP Royal Oak 14060 No date Sub two liner I might add something later, but currently thinking about selling my daytona & expii for RO. Going from three watches to two watch collection. What do you guys think? |

I wouldn't. But that's just me. If you prefer the RO, then go for it.
I own a ROO and while I love it, I prefer certain aspects of Rolex, so trading away Rolex's for AP isn't something I would do. Adding one? Sure. Trading away Rolex's for one? Not me. Again, different strokes for different folks. Do what makes you happy |

I really love the royal oak. It's a beautiful, angular and refined piece, but losing the Daytona would be a shame. It's a very beautiful watch and having a chronograph does add something to a duo rather than having two time and date watches. The white dial pre ceramic is very understated and would complement a royal oak in a collection. So, my vote would actually be to get the royal oak (15400 if you can pull it off) but instead get rid of the sub and the explorer 2. Or as you said, get rid of the Daytona and explorer and keep the sub if you can't get rid of it. Adding the royal oak isn't a mistake by any means, you won't regret it.
Don't know if this is a consideration or not but good to consider every option :) M |
