10 Year Challenge: Watch Edition!

Hey All,

I'm sure most of you have seen on FB, IG and Twitter this viral 10 Year Challenge business. While I'm rather indifferent about the cyber phenomenon, I actually thought a 10 Year Watch Challenge Gallery could be a really fun thread.

As I'm sure Padi or someone else will point out, watch serial #'s are not always accurate to the exact year, but they are close enough for this bit of fun.

Here's are the guidelines:

Post pictures of two watches, the same model but with a 10 years age gap
OR
Post pictures of the same watch 10 years ago and present day!

I'll Start!
2008ish 16710 BLRO & 2018 126710 BLRO

thanks my friend! Yeah, I guess I'm realizing it's probably not that common for people to own two of the same model exactly ten years apart. However, I'm sure there are some members that have now and then photos of ten your old watches.

Nice photos and indeed the colors on the bezels are really close and looks like Rolex "fixed" the colors (as per the whole recent MK1 vs MK2 Pepsi threads).

Thank you, I appreciate the comment. I have owned the Daytona since February 2007 and the GMT since December 31, 1980. (okay, I am 58 yo. Damn, how did that happen?!)

The GMT was a daily wearer through almost everything for about 15 years. It has been a faithful companion.

No safe queens in my watch box.

Yep, both worn in rotation, the LV is from October 2008 and the 114060 is December 2018

Hi,

Great suggestion ! I've been thinking lately about how long I have owned some of my pieces. The oldest one currently in my collection is my Cellini, which I purchased from my AD in 2006.

So, here's a photo of me wearing my Cellini 5115/8 from as close to ten years ago as I can find:

And one I just took for this post today:
