Strange problem....
Dear friends,
Some time ago, I have told you that I have this strange problem : -- Yesterady at 6PM I noticed that the "minutes hand" was just at the perfect position (just on the minute marker) when the "seconds hand was" 10s before the top of the dial. Today at 6PM also, I notice that the "seconds" hand is 10 seconds AFTER the top of the dial when the "minutes" hand is at the pefect position (just on the minute marker). Is this normal ? -- I still feel a bit concerned. But I don't like the idea to have the watch revised for this "little" thing. (maybe quite normal). Do you think I can safely wait until the next regular revision and use it like this ? THANKS A LOT. |

I have the same phenomenon on all my watches. It relates to the construction - and to the fact that they are mechanical watches, with behaviour that changes all the time. Try this: Observe the minute hand during an hour, and you are going to notice that there is a constant change. Small, but noticeable in a way you described. You might notice that the minute hand is more "spot on" during the second half of the hour compared to the first half. Strange... but normal ;-) Best, A |

Agreed. All watches differ. Some vintage can have quite a bit of gear slack. But it also gives a watch it's personality and uniqueness. dP
