Next watch after 116710LN?

I acquired a new 116710LN from an AD a couple of months ago (lucky find I’m now learning). This was my first “real” watch and I couldn’t be happier with it. And as it goes, I’m already thinking about the next one..

While I’d ultimately love a Daytona or a Royal Oak, I’m not quite there yet.

Short list right now would be a BLNR or a BLNO. With the unavailability of both right now (and I’d just get a RO if I could afford the huge premiums now), I’m thinking about an older Pepsi GMT. What would be the best “value” reference if I were to go that route and what should I look for?

Any other models <$10k that are worth exploring to add a bit of variety to my GMT?

Thanks!

Have a look at an OP39, nice compliment to the GMT with its white dial and brushed bracelet, I love mine

A date just with jubilee would be a great compliment to your GMT, if you like a non-sports/professional model

I think that OP makes a nice second watch with either a GMT or Sub.

Yes. If you want variety, buy anything but another GMT!

I suggest another brand. Unless you want to get what’s available - Date Justs, OPs or a hideous Yachtmaster...look at some other brands.

That's a nice combination for a 2 watch collection.

Pepsi GMT 5 or 6 digit models are awesome.

I would go with a white dial next and a splash of colour further down the track.
Example: White op, Bluesy

Pick up some color in the dial this time around. I would go with the Hulk or Polar Explored II.

Good suggestion! A DJ would also fit the bill too.

Agree with this. And you are more likely going to find a nice Datejust before one of the harder to source pieces like a BLRO or Daytona. The Datejust will give you some variety, too.

Wouldn't go with another GMT. I like the OP39 idea. Or if you can find it - a 116610LV would be an awesome complement to the 116710LN.
