Tudor GMT vs OP39 red grape
Attempted to purchase a Tudor gmt tonight at MSRP but upon meeting the seller tonight the quality was a bust. Think was quite bruised up so I passed
That being said. Rolex OP39 in red grape is also on my radar and I can get one for the same price as the GMT. Curious what you guys think is the best decision now / long term? This will be paired with my white milgauss and SubC date Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Logic dictates that since you do not own a GMT...

Looking at your wrist pics in other threads, you can rock a larger watch. I’d go for the gmt personally, just you may have to wait for the right one to show up.

OP39 for me. The Tudor is thick. It’s an expensive homage piece.
The best option would be to save up and get a real deal 16710 gmt Pepsi. |

OP 39 would be my choice. Any color. I have the Grape and have loved it.

Two very different watches. The grape OP is a cool niche piece, the Tudor GMT a slightly bulky sports watch. Depends on what you want.
Personally, since these are so different and you can't make up your mind, I'd say neither. Wait for something that grabs you. |

Make sure you’ve tried the OP on, preferably several times. I really wanted it from when it was released and I’ve tried to get a variety of dial colours into my collection. But I tried it on a few times and couldn’t quite gel with the colour. A typical male (if such a thing exists) might struggle to match the watch with his attire, if that sort of thing matters to you.
I’d add that long term, the potential to tire of a watch with a coloured dial might be higher than one with a more conservative dial. Otherwise the OP is a fantastic GADA watch that is comfortable, legible and classy.

Tudor GMT vs OP39 red grape
Sorry to hear about the GMT.
I’ll stick to my original suggestions

GMT definitely. Just buy one new? They are getting easier to find, and they are cheaper than the OP which, to me anyway, is too small and too boring looking

Don't give up. Supplies are starting to catch up with demand. Just stay in touch with your AD every week or so. Out of the blue one will pop up . Took me just under two months with my AD. Same deal, they weren't expecting any and unexpectedly one came though in a shipment and they called me first. I've had it for about seven weeks now and totally love it. Very versatile watch and a fun watch to change out to Nato, leather, etc.

I REALLY like Tudor, but the GMT is still enjoying the new excitement. Give it a few months and the price will settle down much more.

The gmt has surprised me at how comfortably it wears for a large watch. I literally found it more comfy than the 58

Tudor GMT is nice, although I passed on one myself. But Tudor watches are still a niche watch brand outside the WIS world.

OP Red Grape all the way in this case. Not a big Tudor fan and I think it brings some nice color diversity to your current collection. Or just wait a bit longer until you can get your grail (if you have one that is.)

Can only speak for OP 39 as an owner - have tried BB GMT once and it is a good looking, substantial watch.
Bought the OP for everyday use and it gets most of my wrist time, it’s closest competition being Exp II. Very comfortable on the wrist. In low light the dial colour appears inkish, in sunlight the sunburst effect is really beautiful.

Both watches are awesome, you could go ahead and buy both, the Tudor being the first before the OP.
