Icon14 Panerai 213 Advice

I am looking to buy one of these and I have been offered a one month old unworn version for 5200 GBP. Is this a good deal?

The 213 isn't a favourite in the world of panerai, there's been about 3 of them on ebay uk that haven't sold in months. I'll admit i'm one of them, i think the 212 and 213 are too expensive for what they are and lose a lot of the basic Panerai appeal.

But, at £5200 it's a lot better than the £7500 MRSP, it's the split second chrono, has a 1950s case and looks nice enough, i just think you could get a better Panerai for the money. But, in saying that if you want a chrono and like Panerai then it's probably a good deal, i just think at that price you can get a better chrono, or a better PAM.

Sorry for the negativity, i'm usually very positive on here

so essentially not that popular down to the price. If so the question for me is whether 5200 is a good price and would i get my money back if i do not like it? Any thoughts on that one?

Thanks

I'm in the UK as well, and my AD has a 213 which has been there for about a year at least, it's still at the MRSP of £7500, i've noticed 3 on ebay ranging from £5400 to £6350 that haven't shifted in months as well, so at £5200 you are getting a decent price, although the ones on ebay are stated as being brand new, how old is the one you're looking at?

Also, it really is personal opinion, when you try it on do you like it, that's the most important thing, others might not like it but their opinion means nothing, it's the wearer who has to enjoy it, as for prices, it would sell again if you wanted to change watches, and it's a weird thing, you could get your money back or you could end up losing a couple of hundred, i've rarely made my money back on any watch.

Anyway i wouldn't worry too much about my opinion, i own the biggest blingiest solid gold panerai that even P Diddy would shake his head at, so taste might not be my strong point
