Second Hand Gear Slack - Normal?

Hi all,

I was adjusting my watch tonight and noticed potential second hand gear slack? I typically adjust the time forward by turning the crown counterclockwise. I went past the current time, so I turned it clockwise to go back an hour. That's when I noticed the second hand tends to move a bit when going backwards. Is this considered normal? I have a feeling it is, but wanted to confirm for curiosity sake. I've honestly never noticed until tonight.

Normal.

But.

Try winding it up before setting it.

This will stop the second hand from running backwards and makes setting the time easier.
