I just suddenly fall in love with this watch

I’ve been in the market to shop for a skyd. Initially, I was looking to get the RG skyd dark rhodium dial on strap. However, I came across these pictures on Insta and I am not sure why but i really love how it looks. Personally I think white dial on YG looks better than Steel and it’s selling bellow MSRP, about same price as a steel white dial. Should I go for it or stick with PM skyd on strap?

You do realize you're asking a subjective question right? I think it's ugly :) . You get my point? :)

The Sky-Dweller is a great watch and I have owned them in PM and SS. I currently own a YG and SS one. I would stick with the bracelet as I believe the appearance and wear are better and the bracelet is amazing. I am not a huge TT fan but have owned several over the years. I would go SS with either the white or black dial as I would not pay the premium in the Grey Market for the blue. Pre-owned is the way to go from one of our Trusted Sellers and the price will be close to msrp from an AD. Good luck and I look forward to an incoming post.

As two tone watches from Rolex go, that one’s very nice. If it floats your boat I’d go for it

That is a tough decision. Myself I would go with probably the white face 2 tone. Stainless arent worth the mark up in my opinion and at the price of the gold sky ds then I would rather buy a DD40.

I must confess to being a Sky Dweller lover and I particularly like the watch in the OP. Although I prefer it with the black dial. It's pointless me trying to tell you what you like.

To me, the material value of the TT is worth more than the hype value of the SS. But again, it's subjective.

I’ve always been anti-TT, but the Sky Dweller TT is quite the looker.

For me the Sky Dweller is one of the few Rolex watches that look better in TT than in SS or all gold. The overall design just works with the contrast of YG gold and steel.

They also represent better value in today's market

I was (am) not much of a TT fan, but I love the TT Sky-D with a white face. I ended up picking it over SS . . .

You have fallen for a hard-to-get watch in a version that you can (according to you; I have no idea) get easily for under MSRP. I'd say count your blessings and follow your heart.

It all boils down to whether you want a strap or bracelet watch, IMO.

I have been a bracelet guy for most of my watch collecting years, but lately have added an oyster flex and a couple of leather straps and love them. I've tried on the PM strap version and liked it way better than I thought I would. So...all that to say, it's a tough choice. Go with your gut.

If you like it, buy it, why would it matter what anyone else likes. I don't like design of SkyD in general, but that shouldn't matter to you. If you want to wear it on a strap, get RG, if you like RG more but can't afford one yet, don't buy TT just to hold you over, but if you like TT, get it.

I’m not much for TT but that watch is beautiful. If it sings to you I’d definitely scoop one up.

Me personally, if considering the TT sky dweller then the TT DJ41 should be in the mix too - added benefit of the jubilee bracelet (or stay with oyster if you like), and a clean dial. The complications of the sky dweller are cool, but the simplicity of the DJ dial is also nice. Depends on the intended use I suppose :) I agree with another poster here that if rose gold, then I’d do a day date.

I own that watch so naturally I'm a fan. I find I wear it with formal attire as opposed to sport clothes. If you are looking for a dress watch this is worthy of consideration.
