Explorer II Polar owners - strap ideas?

I have the Polar 216570 and was wanting a strap alternative - would love to see what you guys have for ideas!

Sorry never owned one but that watch looks awesome on everything IMO. This should be a fun thread.

This one is from RubberB. I like the VulChromatic black w/orange stripe better than the solid orange.

I have the orange stripe one and it looked good and was comfortable, but I like the bracelet better, so it just sits in my strap drawer now.

I'm not so keen on the idea of another strap on the Exp|| other than the bracelet

Yeah thats what I'm worried about, so want to find one that looks amazing. The black with orange stripe looks phenomenal on the black dial version.

Forgot to mention in my original post - I don’t actually have one as I think the bracelet is wonderful. I was just searching for possible alternatives while waiting on my Polar to arrive. If I were to get another strap, it would probably be that one, but I don’t think I ever will.

That's one of the pieces I have that I don't think looks nearly as good on anything as it does on its bracelet. So personally mine stays on it.

I toyed with the idea of swapping the bracelet for leather, nato, rubber, etc. It was fun for a day but I quickly got bored with the new look. It’s better off staying on the oyster bracelet in my opinion. Having said that, have a go at whatever strap you decide, it looks good with anything.

I have a polar with a plain black rubber B. Not a fan of bracelets.

I think if the mother ship wanted it on a rubber strap, it would have offered it on an Oyster Flex as an option. Their failing to do so, probably means that it's best it stays on the bracelet with which arrived.

Oyster bracelet for me. In general the modern Rolex sports models don't lend themselves to straps well, IMO. The modern bracelets are also so well constructed that to me they are part of the overall appeal of the watch.

I think the bracelet is comfy and looks so good. The only watches I like on straps are Calatravas and Panerai.

Anyone know if / when Everest Bands is actually going to product a rubber band for the 216570?

I strongly prefer natos and the frequent strap change ability they provide. Here is a crown and caliber strap I really like on my polar.

I agree. Beautiful taper from the lugs to the clasp on this watch.

Keep it original. The Oyster suits it best, IMHO.

We need a legion of 216570 owners to lobby Everest to get their straps out for this model!

I have my 16570 polar on a black everest and I am loving it. Great, great fit and finish and supremely comfortable. I love how I can adjust the tightness in the summer heat, unlike on bracelet (sans glidelock)

Explorer II Polar owners - strap ideas?

I’m a bracelet guy and the explorer really works best with the oyster bracelet, but I’ve tried it on several straps. For me the straps look better with endlinks to cover the gap between the strap and the case.

These pics of my 16570 always get a lot of compliments. It’s on an oak rally strap from Straposhere with smartyjones endlinks

I’ve tried it on a Crown & Buckle Chevron strap also recently

Here it is on a rubber-backed Hirsch strap, with the endlinks

I think part of the challenge of putting straps on the 216570 is the 21mm lugs. Odd sized straps are really hard to find.

I've been thinking about a RubberB, black with white stripe for mine.
