Icon4 Is this submariner real?

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I am looking to purchase this 2nd hand submariner and was wondering if any of you would be able to tell me whether it is authentic or not. These are the only images that I have of it and I will not be able to source any others so sorry for the bad quality. Thank you for any help that I can get.
Thanks
-Cooper

Looks iffy to me based on the low date magnification, the thickness of the pearl housing on the insert and dial batons, shallow rehourt angle and oddly shaped crown guards. Overall it doesn’t look right to me.

Is this a serious question? I went ahead and voted anyway to make it “official”.

Yes, it is. I did believe that it was likely fake due to the watch having a date complication without being an oyster date model however I am very new to the watch collecting hobby and wanted to be sure. I also thought it would be a good way to see what other factors you can use to determine the authenticity of a watch.

Worthless junk. Not even close. Sledgehammer material-do it a favor and smash it to pieces.

There are lots of very interesting and informative videos on you tube about how to tell good from bad. Just search for ‘fake Rolex sub’ or similar. There are also lots of websites with photos and explanations.
