Can't recognize this bezel
Hi folks,
The family had this one for many years laying stored away, but I can't find anything about it. Looks like a 1807, but I cannot find this bezel anywhere. Any ideas? John |

Not a very clear photo.
Maybe a after market dial/bezel or possible fake watch? Need clear photos straight on AND of the back of watch A

Back in the day that bezel mod was very very popular. They usually had a matching full baguette dial installed too. I'd say without other clear photos its probably mostly real but would have it verified before handing over any Benjamin's.

Rolex made an original 24 baguette bezel. Need to know the serial to give you the model number and verify originality

Looks like a factory dial/bezel from here (ala 18368). Bark bracelet could have been added later. Or, it could be a bark model with a dial/bezel swap. As David mentioned, would need to see the case ref. # and SN to confirm. |

Great, that narrows it down to a 1985-ish model.
The reference # (between the lugs @ 12 o'clock) will tell you how it started life (and which parts were added). If you have the original papers, it will be listed there as well. |

I looked at the case, it is a 18078 with a 592B bracelet.
It looks like the bark bracelet is original to the watch but the bezel added as a mod? Or could this be original too? It is used, and not very clean right now (because of many years hidden). One link in the bracelet is missing a pin (screw?). It does run, the moment I picked it up the dials started moving. And... any idea of the value? |

Appears you have standard bark model the bezel is likely a aftermarket replacement, it’s not really feasible to add this bezel as I was not sold separately, highly unlikely it was taken off an original 18168

Also, the clasp looks a bit off. Could just be the pic, but if the end pieces are marked "592B" that would confirm it as aftermarket/fake (or aftermarket end-pieces at the very least). The number on the clasp that you obscured is just the reference number. It should be "8723" and the end pieces should be marked "55". If it's fake, it could still be real gold, just not a genuine Rolex bracelet. |
