not sure how many of us would part with em already, but ive seen em for pretty darn close to the new price..

seen a few for about $5500... but probably only seen 1-2 for sale and they didnt last long... i passed on one for $5600 that was worn once... literally, and i knew the guy..

paid $6k flat for mine new.. for what you can save right now buyin em used, i would just buy new.. they arent old enough to be out there for $3500 like a subdate

Not as cheaply as you could on Saturday, as they went up 10% yesterday.

I'd say between £3300-£3700'ish.

Anywhere between 5-5500 usd and you would be doing well. Didnt know there was a price increase though, yikes. Whats that three since the model came out?

I think the price increases are "rolling" across continents...

US first, then Australia just before Xmas, and now the UK. I don'ty think an icrease in one particular country means another increase in your country. Seems to me like Rolex arae adjusting for Xchange rates as well...

Depends on how quickly you want it and whether you are prepared to wait for a right deal. There are deals out there but you have to wait.

I waited i picked mine in November last year from trading post (classifieds paper/site) for AUD7K (~USD4.5K) from a guy that had to sell it.

I'd say £36-3800 taking into account the latest increase, private.

From a dealer closer to £4000

I saw one a few weeks ago, M series I believe, LNIB for $4,950.00 I should have jumped on it but I had JUST bought a SS DJ NIB, like a day before, and could not justify buying another so soon. Hindsight....

perhaps its cause this was my first rolex...

but for $500-1000 savings, i would prefer to be the first one with a name on it, first to wear it with no stickers, and avoid any possible issues by going through an AD

just my opinion though...

i mean for something like a subdate, where you can get one for $3500 sometimes, thats a nice difference, almost half of retail... but for a difference so small, i would prefer to be the first ...

maybe im a moron

Correction............ The price increase you guys had Australia/NZ/USA towards the 3rd-4th quarter of 2008 was to catch up on the price increase the UK had in the 2nd-3rd quarter of 2008. But fear not my friend you guys may not be in line just yet so don't panic. The exchange rates won't allow it at present. Although NZ and Australia are back to 2.83 & 2.25 respectively. A drop of 14% in 4 weeks !!!! Basically WHO BLOODY KNOWS WITH ROLEX !!!!

I have heard of AD's having sales of 20-25% on all their rolex stock.
so at $7,000 - 25% = $5,250

worth buying new if you find the right AD.
my AD bends on his price like a rubberband when you bring in cash.

I think it depends on the model. I think SS professionals will not get discounted much, if any. The AD I went to 2 weeks ago offered 0% discount on the SS GMT IIc.
