So, how many of you sd43 owners...
Are planning on flipping your watch for the TT?
Asking for a friend. In all seriousness, is anybody thinking about adding it so you have a steel and TT version? |

I will not be flipping my SD43 for the TT nor adding the TT. In fact I’m trying to unsee it and erase it from memory.

I just can't bring myself to own a TT SD. For the past 30+ years I have known it to be a SS watch and that is how it's going to remain, as far as I'm concerned.

Not sure what all the hate is about. Looks pretty decent to me and a smart move by Rolex essentially creating a larger TT sub. I say bring on the solid gold SD.

Thinking I’m an outlier here, but at first blush, I’m liking the look so far. As always, need to see it in the metal.

No hate at all for the new one, but I will not sell my SD43 for a two tone. Already have TT and golds, so no real desire.

I have mixed feelings about the TT SD43, but I just checked the marketing video/material on Rolex.com and it looks good with all the zoom in shots. I will hold judgement until I see it in person.
The price though, around $16k? Wow. The $11k SS SD43 wins on that front in my opinion.

I'm planning on making a purchase. Love the look. Some just don't have it in them to wear any gold. I think TT done by Rolex is the way to go. Sorry to say it's jewelry. These are not "tools". A little gold is great.

The TT is an abomination against all things good and holy.

Just seems unnecessary. TT Black sub appears to be the least popular of the whole Sub range... Why make it a solo model Sea Dweller?
If the come back next year with the full Sub range in SD size including maxi-smurf I'll eat my words. Until then what were they thinking. Would you have rather seen a : SD Hulk : yes SD Bluesy : yes SD solid Gold : Yes WG or YG SD solid Platinum : Yes SD on jubliee: uhhhh close call...

And you never thought a TT sub would cut it? Too small?

NO modern Rolex is a tool watch. Each and every single one is just jewelry and Rolex knows it thats why they dont give a damn. They are in it to make money and this will sell without any issues. |
