thanx to busa180.

It looks great. I can't wait to get a GMT, and then a jubilee bracelet to put on it.

I hate to admit it, but I don't know what the hell IMO stands for. I was hoping to figure it out, but after over two months since becoming a member ... beats me

Can you guys help me out? Shh ... don't tell anybody

Man ... I thought it was some sort of Rolex secret society code. Like a brotherhood

Thanks, Dan! IMHO, therefore, must mean "in my humble opinion. Am I a genious, or what? Answer: Or what!

Thanks!

That pepsi GMT looks fab, and for the record, I think Yannis's Coke GMTII on a jubilee is the best looking Rolex period.

All IMHO of course!

I WANTED a SUPER Jubilee for my GMT II.

Here´s what I got from my AD ( a very fine AD ! I am happy with them! Except for Rolex prices, of course )

"A Superjubileéband Ref: 63200 with concealed massive belt buckle and approaches ( end links ) is not planned.
Price: € 1025 .-

We have a 16710 a Bandref.: 63200 trying to assemble.
Here are our findings:
As described elsewhere ( TRF ), it is possible in principle, to attach this bracelet to a Ref: 16710.

The problems, however, are already discussed in the forums:

The radius of the band approach is not consistent with the case radius.

The band approach is on the bottom clearly beyond the protective housing.

The band approach to the housing shakes. ---> ? Yes?

The spring bracket to be used by the mandrel diameter (the part of the band approaches picks) is too thin, therefore there is not a secure grip assured.

The turning point of the band is shifted from the first band link partially to the spring bracket ( = end link ) (for which the bracelet/link is not designed), and the consequence is massive wear on the bracelet links and watch case, as those weren´t designed for this wear.

When such a change takes Rolex (and we) have no liability for the product and any resulting damages! (up to the loss of the clock!)
Of course, it is entirely your choice whether you take in buying.
We can, however, from a technical side, just advise against this because these changes are not technically or visually clean to achieve.

We hope with this information you have served.
Yours sincerely,..."

What do you all say?

Greetings from good ole Europe, Hermann

Hi Hermann! Rolex in Greece said to me that it won't fit right too, however lots of people here have successfully fitted them. I finally opted for the old style which is a lot cheaper but not as robust as the new one from what i have gathered. Price for the old jubilee bracelet is 500 euros in Greece.

Greetings from good ole Europe, Hermann
thank you for all your and ADs hard work and technical information. if all is true, that is fine.. i accept those risks and continue to enjoy my m series gmt ii on the super jubilee bracelet. excellent information, but i have to say i have not experienced some of the issues you / AD speak of.

thank you again for the information. TRF once again, is a great resource for us.

Hi!

I didn´t want to spoil the fun and beauty of a Super Jubilée on a GMT for anyone. Fact is, I wanted one myself! I just posted an "official" Rolex statement ( my AD contacted Rolex according to his Mails ), for whoever is interested in that.

But I love the Oyster bracelet, too, so I leave it as is.

For what Rolexes IS the Super Jubilée intended?

The DJ, I suppose?

And IIRC it won´t fit a YM?

Any input appreciated, I´m planning on my next watch ( who of us doesn´t? ;-))

Hi Hermann,
You can always try the old Jubilee too mate! Here is a pic of my GMT on the old Jubilee bracelet! It looks almost as good but it is considerably lighter i guess!
