PCL, Yes or No?
PCL has become a controversy....many would prefer the brushed center link as it is more scratch proof.....but some would say that polished center link has given a touch of luxury ......
What would you say on PCL? Yes or No? Regards,

I agree with this somewhat. I think PCL's should be on a dressier bracelet like an jubilee or president. That being said, I don't think a jubilee should go on a sports model. To me, it looks forced like a wingtips with sweats and a t-shirt. I have a BLNR and the PCL's didn't grow on me at all like I thought they would so I purchased a 97200 Sub bracelet for it. The ONLY thing that keeps me from buying a 116619 (WG Sub) are the PCL's. I absolutely LOVE the watch and weight, but the PCL's just look so out of place to me.

Depends on the reference.....SS professional model, I could take it or leave it.

I'm a fan of PCLs on oyster bracelets. I look forward to my future GVz Milgauss & its PCLs. I'm not too worried about scratches.

I wasn't a fan at first when I got my first TT Sub 15 years ago but grew to appreciate them on certain references. Have no issue with them on my TT GMTc, BLNR or Daytona C. In fact, I rather like the sparkle when they catch light or sunshine.

Depends on the model. No for subs and GMTS, yes for Daytonas, PM watches, and jubilee bracelets.

I quite like the PCL's on oyster look, but it almost seems that rolex is heading to putting them only on PM (or partial) models. I know they aren't there yet, but switching to a jubilee on a Blnr etc is another step to going that way.

I think they look great, and I don't mind the swirls and scratches a bit.

Like having them on my Daytona as this is my dressy (suit) watch and like not having them on my SD4k as this is my casual (weekend) watch.

I dislike PSLs on my Daytona. The brushed finish on my Submariners are much more forgiving.

I really like them, and have them on TOG and GMT , but I think they would look out of place on the Air King, its 'busy' enough.

PCL’s on a Datejust...no problem. Suits the watch IMHO.
PCL’s on a GMT or sub etc....no, they should all be brushed IMHO, even the TT’s. |
