How do Rolex tighten the screws on the bracelets at the factory, without leaving any trace they have been screwed in?

Also do any of you know of a watch screwdriver that can do the same thing, ie undo a tighten the screws without damaging the screw?

I do not know how Rolex does it, but I use their 2100 screwdriver. The tip matches exactly modern Oyster bracelet screws with zero play, and the most important thing is that it is not tapered, so it does not put any stress on the top of the screw head. Mine came with a Sea-Dweller I bought over ten years ago. I believe they do not make them anymore, but I have seen some selling on eBay.

As above the secret is a non tapered screwdriver that fits the slots perfectly

Horofix has one made for Rolex, hallow point I believe it is called.

They screw and unscrew just like any other screw.

If they are loc-tited in, heat softens the loc-tite and they unscrew normally.

No screwdriver will damage them if done properly.

I use an eyeglass screwdriver and if your feeling unsure about scratching the link edges put tape around it

I have a Ducati motorbike and when I am removing any bolts Torx or Allen I round off the heads. I think all screws and bolt heads are made of cheese. They ought to start using steel again.
