Rolex in recent times has released 2 new clasps.

We see a number of models migrating to the easylink fliplock and non-fliplock clasp.

Recently we have seen the new DeepSea clasp with micro adjustment.

From what I have read and heard it seems like the clasp on the DeepSea is superior, but I'm not sure.

Which clasp is the best and why, and which do you think will ultimately be the most used by Rolex in 10 years from now?

I would go for the Deepsea Clasp...i dont have to go to an ad to have it adjusted and pay $20-30 and then come back home to rant here in the forum about the charge..

I voted DeepSea clasp. The reason is being an owner of both the Glidelock clasp is great fitting bracelet and very well engineered.

Also the glidelock is geared more for adjustment without removing the watch from ones wrist.

Actually, the DSSD bracelet would be great for the GMT-IIC for those who prefer the brushed links too!

Now you guys are making me consider sourcing a DSSD bracelet for my GMT-IIc when I buy it!

Oh, that's too bad :( Everyone talks about how the bracelet of the DSSD is too small for the case, so I assumed they had used the same bracelet size. Can you just take the clasp of the of the DSSD bracelet and stick it onto a Sub bracelet? Either way, 1mm isn't much bigger, I'm sure we could make it work

The clasp on the Daytona/GMT/Milguass will win out IMO. For one it is less expensive than the clasp on the DSSD and it is not as bulky. I just cant see this clasp fitting in with DJ or DD wearers.

Well, I have both and think the clasp on the GMT, Milgauss, and Daytona are so much easier to use than earlier versions.

That said, the DSSD, Submariner clasp is just a dream to use and get that perfect fit.

I think the diver clasp will be the sole domain of the Sub DS series.

So it might be that the glidelock DSSD clasp is the technically superior clasp, but because of costs etc. it might be limited in it's application to the range of sports watches.

I like to hear the banter about this clasp or band being compared to another one. I would think what matters is does the clasp or band work in the real world or do you have problems. Rolex has spent a lot of time and money on producing quality products that work under all conditions and take pride in their craftsmanship!!!

While the DSSD clasp is definitely superior in engineering technology, the more practical one for day-to-day usage and most of the common and regular Rolex models, would be the one with the tiny HALF link fold-out or fold-in which I saw the other day on the GMT-IIC.

I would say the GMT-IIc one will prevail (i.e. will be more widely used) although i would have prefer to see clasp of the DSSD across the sport's watches range!

I feel like Rolex will only use the glide lock on the Sub and DSSD.

All others will be migrating to the GMT IIc clasp.

Daytona clasp is on it's way out. A good clasp, but not as good as the GMT IIc clasp IMHO.
