Root beer vs green daytona

Any thoughts. In the secondary market it looks like green daytona is holding its value better and may be harder to get from ad. Root beer in full everose.

If we're talking about the full gold CHNR, I prefer that. The Daytona is more difficult to get though.

Both are beautiful watches and at this price range you really just have to go with what sings to you and not give a dam about what anyone else thinks...

but for me the below just edges it......

Wait are you going with. SkyD, 500C, or either of these? Or are you trying to do deathmatches in which one is better to flip?

They're both amazing watches. The Daytona is just beautiful, and the Rootbeer is very nice and IMO more durable.

I love Daytona’s, but the green dial is waaaay overhyped & overpriced right now. The better buy is the GMT...IMO
All things Daytona are very strong right now, the TT is going very close to msrp on the grey market, and very little discount at an AD. SS is nuts, and YG, WG, PT is climbing and holding.

Agree with your point on the green Daytona. The green wasn’t nice to me like the olive DD is

Root Beer. That full rose root beer is so classy looking. Green and gold remind me of the Bishop Don Magic Juan.

Green Daytona does nothing for me. Give it a blue dial and my mind would explode.

Ugh, the bottom half of that bezel is so ugly. It looks like chocolate pudding.

It's subtle, and IMO looks better in person. Also, that bezel won't scratch

I know the Daytona is hard to get but i would prefer something other than a green one, will certainly go with the Rootbeer.

Current value + future value = Daytona 116508 YG Green - ALL DAY

Looks........both are awesome. I LOVE the RG bracelet but I am not a fan of the Rootbeer bezel. I special ordered the green dial and awaiting for the AD to call me to pick it up. Hopefully it arrives this month!

Just a thought, RG bracelet on Daytona w/ green dial would be f'n INSANE!

I prefer the YG to RG. The green dial is fun but the watch is hot now so you will pay for it more than one that is not so.

I’d go Daytona between these two. The YG/green dial combo is stunning! Many of us admired this piece long before JM’s interview.

The watch that nobody cared about until one person did.

Frankly, I didn't know who John Mayer was until Hodinkee. Why does everyone care what he thinks about watches, anyway? Can't we all just buy what we like...

I was quoted 6 months on it long before John Mayer mentioned it, and that was on the short end of the estimates that people had posted about.

Root beer for me. I personally don't think the red lines on the daytona look right with the green.
