Can dings on lugs be removed
Hi. Was looking to buy a watch preowned. It had a ding on a lug. Can that be fixed and is it something that drastically lowers value. Is repair costly? Thanks

Check out rolliworks in San Francisco. They do amazing work and typically a 2-4 week turn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, it can be fixed w/ laser weld. I dented the lug on my GMT Master and Mike from Rolliworks gave me an estimate between $300–$400. I’ve decided not to fix it right now. I’m Trying to get some more wear and tear first.
There’s a thread here where a member had 2 pretty big dents on the case of his BLNR and Rolliworks did an amazing job repairing. Just type “Rolliworks the fixer” on the search box to see the pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thx. Would u assume that then lowers the value of negotiation about $400?

In my view watches are meant to be worn, and in doing so they get knocks and scratches. A light polish is enough for me. I would only consider laser welding when the structural integrity of the case was in question. |

I would not even consider buying one with a dent
