GMT IIc Ceramic Photoshops.

As much time as I spend on watch boards, I hadn't seen these Photoshopped renditions until today. Hope these are not old news, but if they are they are still worth another look. I think they are very good and probably close to what they will really look like. At least I hope so because to me they are lovely.

Perhaps Basel 09 will bless us this year.

I don't know who the Photoshop-ist is or I would give him or her much deserved credit for these. If someone knows please post the artist.

Great job on the Pepsi.

I can live without the Pepsi, but would you all tar and feather me if I said I really, really wished I had the red 24-hr hand? To me, the red is pretty standard as meaning 24-hour, plus it's a lot more visible. Even under good light, the green is hard to see, and I end up scanning for the arrow. On the red-hand GMTs, it stands right out.

I guess the cost of trying to obtain a red hand and have a watchmaker swap it out, plus risk the ire of Rolex makes that out of the question.

But, a little red enamel paint and a very, very steady hand...hmmm...?

I love 'em all! Of course the big question is can Rolex make a seamless (and strong) bi-color ceramic bezel? If anyone can, they can, but my limited past experience with firing ceramic reminds me of the difficulties with red colors. Red is a wildcard when it comes to ceramics, fired enamel, etc. Basel '09 will be VERY interesting.

Very nice Coke with red hand and red "GMT-Master II"! I'd definitely consider it over the black bezel GMT.

Edit: the blue is growing on me too. Now I can't stop looking at these photos.

Guys,

I found out who did the Photoshop of these and it is a guy named hypophyse over on TZ. (Roland). I wanted to make sure he got credit for these.

I like the PICS of future possibilities especially the blue one. That would be awesome if Rolex came out with the blue theme having the blue 24 hour hand!!!

They all look stunning (great job hypophyse!) , but the PLC's would have to go on the SS versions. They kind of complement a shiny black bezel, but look distracting with a colored bezel IMO.

I just bought a GMT IIc last month and I sure wish it was that blue model. Drop dead gorgeous. If it comes out I'm switching.
Thanks for the idea.

IF these new bezel colors come out after Basel '09, do you think it's possible (as with the old GMTs and Subs) to buy just the bezel? That'd be soooo awesome!

Nice Photo Shop work!

The only problem for current GMTC owners is that the green writing and 24h hand wouldn't go so great with the other colored bezels. Has anyone got a photoshop of a black/green GMT bezel?

What if................just a what if Rolex can't create two color ceramic bezels? Wonder what that would do to the value of 16710's. Doesn't matter to me because I prefer the classic GMT although the new ceramic is very nice.
