Would never put an aftermarket strap on your ROLEX sports

Just wondering how many of you guys would never consider putting your sports Rolex on strap.

Sure, why not? It's a watch, not a museum painting. You're allowed to alter it to your liking. Let's say you've got an old watch & the bracelet is stretched. Putting it on a leather strap will breathe some new life & enjoy-ability into it.

Some models yes, some no. I’ve put rubber straps on my sub/gmt in the past and it felt like I was wearing a diff watch. But I wouldn’t put a strap on my Daytona.

Your answers both read to me as being in favor of using strap.

Oh the horror! It's just a strap my friend. Nothing permanent like a bezel or dial mod.

I have, and would definitely do it again. That being said, they are great the way they are built.

poor wording on the poll, but absolutely I'd put a strap on a Rolex.

Depends on the strap, but normally I would not. Curved straps that fit the case seem to work better.

There's just something about the modern sport oyster cases that makes them look weird on straps.

Older models work much better.

Depends on the model. Vintage Sub/GMT for sure. Modern Sub with glide lock...I have but always end up with the bracelet back on. Glide lock is just too awesome to not use.

They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

On my 116618LB Blue sunburst Sub? Why would I take off a beautiful 15K solid gold Oyster bracelet just to replace it with some cheap $100 strap? Absolutely not gonna happen.

I am not sure which answer to select in your poll, but put me down for not using an aftermarket strap.

I don't generally like modifications.

I would, esp as Rolex have the OF, nice if they released a few more, much prefer OEM, have them on my PP, AP, Breitling and Omega.

I have done this. I always end up coming back to the bracelet though.

On my Tudor bb58 which has a distinctly vintage vibe, a nato does look really good though.

So I would, but sparingly.

I have a Rubber B on my Deepsea, and it's balances the watch much better than the Bracelet. Also, use a few natos from time to time, and will put an Everest Rubber on my Milgauss for the Summer.

A nato is perfect in some situations...

I will take this up a notch.

I NEVER keep the Rolex bracelets on my watches. There are ALWAYS 3rd party straps.

I've worn a RubberB on both my SD 16600 and my GMT II 116710LN. In fact, unless I need to dress up (me or my watch) the rubber stays on the GMT almost all the time. I got tired of seeing the polished center links always beat up!

I love aftermarket straps on my Speedmaster, but on my GMT Master II the bracelet is my choice.

As much as I enjoy the factory bracelet, I do like an occasional nato or rubber strap.

I'd like to put a Goldfinger Bond strap when I get a Submariner. On my current collection I'm not considering a strap.

Why not? It's hardily sacrilege. The only time where I think it looks really wrong is a rubber on a DJ.
