Laugh all you want but when I wore my Dad's to school when I was in 7th grade people literally flipped out. That watch was probably close to $300 and was absolute state of the art for its time.

Gold Watch - Sub Date or Computron?

Man, I had one of these calculator watches in 1984 and it was the bomb. Thanks for the flashback. No gold

Wouldn't buy either, but if I had the chance to borrow one for a week I'd choose the Bulova.

Good looking watch. Is that a heat sink on the top. How much power does that thing use?

If that is in fact the heat sink, that thing is running i9 3.6GHz eight core so displaying the time ... about 80 Watts.

Sorry had to get a little geeky there.

I remember back in 1987-'88 saving up for the Casio Data Bank. The biggest decision was getting it in black or chrome. I choose black.

They were killer watches back in the day! My uncle had one, among a selection of Patek and Rolex watches he would wear. The gold Computron and yellow-gold Day-Date of his were my favorite.

I think I will buy one of those Bulova's when they become available. Fun and inexpensive. And with today's LED technology battery life must be pretty decent.

Funky design, but frankly, they still make more sense than the Tudor BB P01.....

friend of mine had one of these in HS (SEIKO UC-2000). mid 80's.....
It was way cooler than a std calculator watch. $$$ for what it was. 4-500?

Do you have an 80's themed party to go to? The Computron would be cool for that.
