Difference between hulk and Smurf inner bezel ring ?

Hey everyone, a question.

I have a Hulk that I purchased from an AD back in 2011. Also used to have a Smurf. Sold the Smurf some years ago, and recently bought a new Smurf from an AD.

Just comparing the two it looks like the inner bezel where the serial number is, it looks taller than in the steel Hulk or I’m guessing my 11610LN also, but I didn’t look. Anyone else notice this ?

Of course the inner bezel ring on the Smurf is white gold, and some metal on the Hulk. So Hulk inner bezel looks darker and the Smurf looks brighter white ish. Also Smurf is brand new, and Hulk is 8 years old.

But still the height looks noticeable with my naked eye, unless it’s an optical illusion.
Thanks
