Icon20 sub date 16610

does any one know if the sub date 16610 is going to be discontinued for the ceramic version this year at basel.
there seem to be no v serial numbers about for this model.
with the current down turn in the economy will they bring it forward along with the tt version.
or will they simply leave it until this time next year?

Hi Mark-

There are V 16610's - TempoKing had one.

I hope they bring it out early - it would sure make sense because I think it is going to be VERY hot when it is released. However, most here believe it will be 2010. And they are usually spot on.

This has been ROLEXs past "modus operendi"; they first release the ALL GOLD version one year, the following year, the 2tone is released, then the year after that the stainless vn is released.
That being the past; dont expect to see an ALL 904L "116610" til 2010 and then the lustrous white metal watches wont be glowing under display lamps until Holloween or Thanksgiving following Basel.
Now, on a "lighter" note, why in the world would you want a dive watch (a Ceramic if thats whatya want) that has so many reflective surfaces a shark could spot it from a hundred feet???

Thanks,
Randy

Not until at least 2010 and you'll find some until 2011 without any doubts
