Hodinkee H10 Speedmaster Question

So I'm slowly starting to warm up to the look of the hodinkee speedmaster, which I initially didn't love, and now I'm feeling a little bit of an itch for it. Not sure if I'll end up pulling the trigger, but there's a question I'd love to get input on from someone who owns the watch since I can't see one in person.

The watch is billed as having a "30 second interval" running seconds hand, which is all fine and good, but based on photos it looks like it's impossible to tell which end of the running second hand is the actual seconds, and which end is the "30 second interval". Is that really the case? If so that's kind of absurd, no? It would really irritate me to not know whether it's :00 or :30 whenever I look at the seconds hand (and particularly when I'm setting the time--I understand the movement doesn't hack but still)...

Very curious to get a few owners' input on this...

Not an owner, but you are exactly right, although they could easily argue that you can tell by which side the "propeller" hand is on, because it is painted in two colours. Oh, and it’s an 861 movement inside, which you can easily hack with a little backwards pressure on the crown.

Not that's there's much difference, but this watch has the 1861 movement in it, not the 861.

If you like it, go for it.
