2010 Omega Speedmaster pro power rsv? -how long??

So, back in Dec 2017, I bought the watch from Sotheby's auction. When it arrives the bracelet is too small so it goes into the drawer and I make a mental note that I've got to find some links. Never quite get around to it so I recently bought a leather band to use instead.

To my surprise I've had a couple of times in the last 10 days where the watch has stopped/wound down. This is with daily wearing. I've never had this occur with a modern watch before. Today the watch stopped this am and I had been wearing it all weekend (except when sleeping) and when I put it on last week I wound the watch.

Any thoughts?

thanks very much

Speedmaster Pro is a manual wind watch. It won't wind itself by wearing it.

Full wind should get you close to 48 hours.

Your watch is bust :) I'll take it off of you for a couple hundred.

Yeah, the hand-wound movement in the Speedmaster Professional should be wound each morning when you're wearing the watch regularly. Simply twist the crown until it stops each morning. Depending on your winding technique, when you wind the watch every morning you should feel the crown come to a stop after ~15 twisting motions with your thumb and forefinger. When the watch has run all the way down to a stop, then it should take ~30 twisting motions before you feel the crown come to a stop because the mainspring is fully wound (again, the actual number of twisting motions needed will depend on how far you actually turn the crown with each motion, but the number needed I describe here is typical for most owners).
