crown and i think part of stem came right out?
i have a vintage airking circa 1975 rolex. it was my dads watch which i got after he passed away and i just took it out of my safe to start wearing. outfitted it with a black leather strap. its beautiful.
i unscrewed the crown. wound it up. pulled it out some more to set the time and it popped right out with a little stem. is this something easy to fix? do i have to take it to RSC to get this done or can any regular watch repair place take care of it for me? thanks and hello. i am new to this forum and the wonderful world of rolexes. oh and i just bought a 12660 ref deep sea james cam. I LOVE IT. ITS WHAT GOT MY PASSION GOING! |

It's an easy fix, but you should take it to a competent watchmaker to put it back in and secure the locking screw that holds it in place.
It doesn't need to go to an RSC for this unless you want to. ![]()

This happened with my Datejust 1600. Any competent watchmaker will have it fixed in a few minutes.
Rolex would probably want to do a full service and replace parts, which would destroy it's value, so probably best to avoid that route. |

Looks like it has simply come unscrewed from the stem.
A watchmaker can take the stem out and re-attach the crown with some Loc-tite.
