Everose Sky Dweller vs Everose GMT II

Hi everyone! I am deciding between the Everose Sky Dweller with Rhodium dial on leather strap (326135) and a full Everose GMT II (126715) and wanted to get everyone's thoughts. Whichever watch I decide on, I will get a Rubber B rubber strap as summers are hot where I live and I have kids so need something that can get wet. I've crudely mocked up photos (don't judge) with what either watch would look like on a black Rubber B strap.

Would appreciate everyone's thoughts, especially those who have one of the watches and have experience with Rubber B straps. Thanks in advance!

I own neither but have had the SkyD on bracelet on my wrist and would like to ask you to try yourself and consider. Something else entirely.

Cheers

I personally feel that a rubber B on either totally ruins the watch

I think the bracelet alone is worth about $15k. Seems a shame to remove it and use a rubber strap. I have Everest and Rubber B's for SS but I can't see them on PM. YMMV of course.

Have seen and tried on both within the last two months at an AD. Respect them both for what they are, but was blown away by the SkyD in that color scheme. Both were on bracelets, and I prefer the CHNR as a TT (something about it in full Everose is "too much"). The rhodium with the Everose was just incredible. IMO it's the superior watch and look.

I've seen both of these models at my local AD. The Everose SkyD came in just last weekend. Both are too heavy (and expensive) for my liking, but I'd go SkyD.

I think taking off the bracelet to use a rubber strap ruins the watch. I don't see the point of spending that much on a PM Rolex to cheapen it and put it on rubber.

Saw both of these at a local AD today and after seeing them I don't think I could put them on a rubber strap...both these watches look great in person by the way

I tried on the SkyD recently and it was absolutely amazing. Haven’t seen a GMT in person.

Sky D. Rubber B will take away the majestic of the SKY D.

I just saw the everose sky d, white/cream dial, with leather band earlier this evening and I personally would pick the everose GMT.

I am a retired engineer. So, for me it is always form always follow function. If you have a need to track multiple time zones, it would be a GMT II. If you set the single/system hour hand to GMT, you could just rotate the bezel with whatever GMT offset to show the time you want to see. If you only need to track 2 time zones, Sky Dweller is very tempting. The Sky Dweller is larger than the GMT II. So, if you have a smaller wrist, this might be a consideration.

No on the rubber strap, especially on the Skydweller. Cheapens the watches.

GMT matches better with Black Rubber B, because it has a Black dial.

If you want RG and a rubber strap, would you consider RG Daytona on OF?

I just tried on the full gold bracelet version of the Sky today. That would be my choice.

I tried both TT & RG Sky-dweller in AD.

Here is my thought:

TT : GMT > Sky-dweller
RG : Sky-dweller > GMT

The SD on croc strap is sporty and elegant IMO, so you don’t need RubberB for the first few months.

Just to declare I own a TT GMT CHNR (Rootbeer)

I will answer the question, as few have, since you asked “which one?” Versus “should I?” Unless I missed something, you said you are getting the rubber B anyway and are choosing between two options, no?

If that is the case, GMT. Admittedly, I am partial because I own that piece and have considered the same thing to change the look and tone it down when I feel like it.

I think you know, OP, that you can’t go wrong either way

that SkyD is so sick. i’ve tried on both (on bracelets) and although i’m fond of the CHNR...

SkyD ALL DAY man. and i dunno: i live in NC and i find bracelets much more comfortable in this absurdity that is our current weather than rubber straps. i even have my panerai on a leather strap because rubber is sticky. YMMV.

but as stated; you’ll be STOKED whichever direction you turn.

Either bracelet will survive getting wet. Is there yet another "Is it safe" thread in the near future?
