I've worn mine (blue/Oyster/Smooth) about 70% of the time since picking it up a few weeks back. Actually, if I didn't have the wonderful BB58 it would have got 100% ....

Folk having been wearing DJ's as a daily since forever .. although personally the fluted might be a bit flash for me as a daily. But you wear the watch

I've had 1 person ask me about it, but I don't work in a very 'WIS' environment, maybe a couple of mates have shown an interest outside of work.

Scratches ... the bracelet has quite a few light hairlines but the case & bezel is fine. It looks great regardless. I do tend carry a polishing cloth around with me though no watch is safe from scratches ..

I wear my DJ a few days a week and it seems the only person that notices is my daughter (she's 2). I have a a two tone / white dial / fluted bezel which makes it pretty hard to miss. After two years of wearing it, I have one scratch on the bezel that is noticeable, other than that, its pretty much perfect. I assume the AD could make the scratch go away in 5 minutes - just haven't asked him to do it yet.

Don’t own one but they make great daily drivers. A smooth bezel on Jubilee would age pretty well on the bracelet as far as your scratch concerns. Lack of differing color bezel when going smooth is a nice under the radar touch imo.

I use my DJ41 fluted jubilee Wimbledon daily. Gets a lot of compliments from people who care and people who don’t.

My clasp is scratched heavily. The rest is still perfect. Bought it to wear, not to keep safe :)

I had the DJ 2, let's call it essentially the same watch, on the oyster bracelet with the Polished bezel. I wore it in rotation for 2 years, but probably was the one that got the most wrist time. The polished surface is definitely pick up hairlines, particularly the bezel... If you give it a look in the wrong way. :-) never look bad, though. Still nice and Polished and shiny from a few feet away.

The only people who noticed it were people who are specifically looking to notice a watch on a wrist. My work colleague, who is also a watch hobbyist, tended to bring it up to many people, which I never said was annoying to me but it was a little bothersome as I like to stay under the radar. Also, I'm a teacher, and one of the middle school students knew a bit about watches, perhaps because his father liked them. He called out, Rolex Oyster Perpetual datejust? From afar one day...

I prefer for people that I am close with to not notice, as I just don't feel like what I'm wearing on my wrist and, potentially how expensive they might be, being broadcast in such a laissez-faire way to the world.

DJ 41 Daily Wear?

I don't wear mine daily, but easily could. I've picked up some scratches on the smooth bezel and clasp, but nothing to cry about.

I wear mine often in rotation (smooth/silver dial/oyster)
I don't find that it shows scratches anymore than any other watch, but it does have PCLs, and some feel this can highlight small scratches.
DJs are a great daily watch, I bought mine because it fit as both a daily wear and a dress watch easily.
I don't think it gets much attention, people think it's pretty, I don't think most people would realize that it's a Rolex at a glance.

I have my Z Blue as my daily wearer at work. I plan on getting a DJ41 Wimbeldon just to be able to have another watch for daily wear instead of the same one each work day. The others are for weekends and less hands on days at work.

Do you want the attention?

I wear my DJ41 almost daily in rotation with my other Rolex watches but I never get any attention or comments on my watches because my colleagues don't care about watches at all and I'm happy with that.

1. About 80% of the people that wear them.

2. No

3. It gets them if you wear it. If you put it in a vault and never wear it you can count on next to zero scratches.

My TT DJ41 has been my one and only Rolex since new two years ago. Have had several comments about my "beautiful watch" but don't think those folks knew or cared it is a Rolex. I'm a relatively careful wearer. The only scratches I see are some light ones on the polished center of the clasp, noticeable in direct lighting. There are others as well on the fluted bezel and the polished center links of the jubilee bracelet but difficult to see. That's the beauty of the fluted/jubilee combo.

Hardest wearing Rolex which scratches the least is a 36mm DJ with diamond bezel and super jubilee bracelet ..Ironic isnt it !!

In a truly perfect world the DJ41 would have a super jubilee that could be adjusted as needed like the easylink. Maybe someday?

I wear my 2018 DJ41 TT Jubilee Champagne every day, 18 hours.

It holds up well, the Jubilee and fluted bezel don't really show the wear. The clasp, well, that polished center part shows scratches, but hey, it's the clasp.

I really never get anyone noticing it. Happened maybe once or twice. Once was my boss! Nobody really cares, which is great.

I bought my TT DJ in 1984. Regardless of whether I was doing manual labor or an office job, I have worn it every day. I never thought it wasn’t intended to be worn every day. It’s a DJ, and it’s a workhorse. Wear it, get it serviced every five years at RSC and it will treat you right.

Yes absolutely. It is super comfortable, light, and versatile.
I have the TT Oyster. People will notice it, but most won't say anything. I really don't give a crap about what other people think about my watch.

No question on the daily wear. My rotation is a DJ41 rhodium, jubilee, fluted bezel and a BLNR, both of which were purchased in the last 8 months. Absolutely love both of them, but I find that the DJ is on my wrist virtually every day.

Wear mine more frequently than any other watch in my collection. It is blue dial, smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet. It is a perfect combination from office to happy hour to weekend chores.

My dad has worn a TT DJ on jubilee daily for nearly 30 years, and I wear my TT DJ on jubilee daily as well. Yes it’s a bit more flashy than a SS sport model, but (in my view) it’s more beautiful as well so I don’t mind people looking hehe . Handles daily wear like a champ - extremely comfortable and the fluted bezel and jubilee hide all the micro scratches. Really this watch can be worn with shorts and flip flops up to a tuxedo if you want to.

Thoughts on it now that it’s been some time? Size good? Any regrets on smooth versus fluted bezel?

Did you consider the rhodium dial?

They get a lot of looks, I think it’s because they are extremely shiny.
They scratch very very easily. My dj41 smooth oyster is covered in hairlines and a few deeper ones from what I can only assume are from my shirts, putting hands in pockets and wiping the watch when there may have been dirt or something on it. To me a datejust looks horrible with scratches and does not wear them well. Just my 2 cents

I've been wearing my DJ41 black dial smooth bezel with oyster bracelet quite a bit and haven't gotten any comments, the polished bracelet scratches pretty easy but I can live with it so it makes a great daily wearer for me.

Mine isn’t a daily wear but, its a very versatile piece and one I like a lot, despite it being one of the lower priced variants, it certainly turns heads with the right dial and bracelet config.

I think the DJ41 (or 36) is THE perfect daily watch.

Had mine 8 months now as a daily.
Barely gets noticed (or commented on at least).

A few minor scratches on clasp.
None on the bezel of note.
Far fewer show with the jubilee that on my BLNR on the oyster
