Up to no good; need LC intervention quick!

Sold this watch a week or so ago for $3,000.

If it looks too good to be true.....Let Lady Casper sort them out!

wow. Take paypal and paypal covers you? Seems worth a shot I guess. I am pondering it too. Looks too good to be true ..but he lives in a very rural area.....so...

A real conundrum.

...looks like FEE AVOIDANCE to me...

...seller says: "Due to excessive fees and security purposes, Bank Wire or Secure COD (Money Order/Cashier's Check) Only".

I agree. That doesn't have the maxi look. Good catch!

It looks like Lady Casper thought it was garbage as she smoked it.

Great eye... that doesn't look like a Maxi dial.

Even with the poor pics...

Ebay may frown on this AGAIN.

What's bad is the seller may have been unknowingly scammed themselves and bought a regular sub with a kermit insert slapped on, but you still have to know what you're selling and it's not an excuse even if that is the case.

The long and short of it is a board member or members that have ebay's ear due to all the fakes on that site and problems they've had in the past, so while they're too lazy to appoint someone to police themselves they will listen to said member(s) here and review the auction, and usually it will get pulled. It's referred to as "Lady Casper", which forgive me but I think is corny, but it get's the job done anyway.

Lady Casper, our friendly-silent-unseen (only to few I understand) - lurks around our Watchout forum and exercises due diligence on counterfeit, scammers, and/or anyone that is in violation of Ebay related rules/policies...

For Christ's sake! I just sent him this so that maybe he'll figure it out...

Why doesn't the watch have a maxi-dial? All Sub LV's are manufactured with this updated dial from Rolex. Either the green bezel insert or the dial isn't factory. I'm sorry, but what you have there isn't a true 50th Anniv. Sub.

I'll let y'all know what he says if anything.

Someone thinks they got a great deal...

Unfortunately, eBay should have taken more dramatic action soon.

It still may not be too late.

...hopefully, we can still get it taken down...

...just hope, that the buyer does not pay immediately, or that eBay freezes the payment for a few days til this is disposed of.

...it still is FEE AVOIDANCE encouragement.

Stan.

...it is now an INVALID listing, before the edit time ran out!
