Icon9 Remember her? She's gone....

http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=66670

Gone. For good.
Don't want to get into details on why I HAD to, but I did. All I can say is - anyone who says this economy's not scary is either removing silver spoons from every oraface (most often abovementioned spoons weren't exactly forged by them, if you know what I mean ), or is in deeeeeeep denial.

Anyway, sorry for the heart-wrenching news, I am sure many of you are leaking on your keyboards.

Only good thing is - the RJ only spent few weeks on my winder, so I didn't develop a deep affection for it yet. Bad - now I don't own a tourbillon. Boo hoo, right?

There are nine of these in the world, this is a second one I had to let go (not quite - 1st one I bought to re-sell, this one I got for keeps), so that makes seven more opportunities, right?

Sorry to see it go, Mosco. That watch was amazing looking, IMO. And the history! I'm sure once things get better you'll find yourself owning one again.

Most likely I will replace it with a less expensive model, still with the Titanic bezel... Thanks for words of encouragement!

Sorry to read about your news Mosco.
I hope that one day you will be able to get another one.
Or even their new "Space Watch" that I have just been reading about.

I appreciate it is none of my business and I'm being restrained here, but I would be uncomfortable owning a watch made from a Maritime disaster/mass grave. Sorry to rain on your parade, but there are so many lovely watches out there that are craving your attention/wallet other than these pieces of morally questionable flim flam.

Regards

Tim

Sorry Mosco... I gotta agree with Tim on this one. But I know you loved that watch so I hope you'll find it again someday

I'm curious, your older post states "It is a heavy sucker too - I wore it today and now I have a bulging bicep on my left arm" but your For Sale post states "CONDITION: NEW, NEVER WORN".

Seems a bit of a contradiction?

not at all - the 'heavy sucker' is not the same as the chrono that MOSCO is selling in the for sale section. two diff watches, i do believe.

You're absolutely right! One is a Tourbillon, other is a Chrono. Only thing they share is, well a similar bezel and a brand name! Different metals, movements and most importantly, one is about 7 times the price of the other!
