[UPDATE] Survey: bought a stainless steel professional model in the past 2 years?

Hello everyone, I'd like to give a little update. Yesterday, I made a survey to study the circumstances where people were able to buy a stainless steel model from a Rolex authorized dealer (AD). The survey is still live and can be found here.

Just wanted to say:
  1. a big "thanks" to all who've participated. We have 131 responses so far. It's a good amount, but I hope we can get even more responses.
  2. Last night, after several members suggested additional questions, I decided to add a few questions. If you already filled out the survey before I added these but would like to answer the additional questions, reach out to me and I'll add your answers to your submission. Either way, I thank you again for participating, and look forward to sharing the results.

Thank you for participating!

I'll be showing the survey results in some format, but probably not in raw data/tabular form. I'll show the breakdowns, distributions, etc etc. If we have enough responses, I plan on using some logistic regression models to explore any interesting relationships.

Thank you both. We're at 163- I'm awaiting permission from some other forums (WUS, TimeZone, etc) to post it there, too.

Practitioners in the STEM fields massively suffer from imposter syndrome and other complexes. Your compliment means a lot, as does your participation.

Thanks to everyone who submitted!

There are a lot of non-USA based members in TRF. It would have been helpful to recognize this in the location question.

Answered. I tried to complete it for a second purchase, however, survey seems limited to one time.

Done. Although I hope I didn’t contaminate the sampling. Most recent AD purchase for me
Was an ex1 214270. I thought it was a SS pro model but it wasn’t listed. Anyhow I filled out the form for other and answered the questions.

Obviously it’s a lot easier to get then say a Daytona.

Answered. Like the concept, but the questions are a bit confusing. I bought a DSSD D-Blue on day 1 of boutique opening, but the survey kept asking about second watch, which of course the first watch makes up $13k, but then the AD expected me to buy how many? None, as I had already bought my first one before I got my “AD called” BLRO Pepsi, which is the watch I was responding to with regard to time waiting, etc. Maybe my circumstance was just different from most.

Done, why are there also TT gold/steel sport models present at question 1?
This survey should be about 100% steel watches, not?

Thanks for taking the survey!

I'm sorry the questions were confusing. To clarify, I'll use your example:

If I understood you correctly, the most recent s.s. model you purchased was the Pepsi GMT. Cool. That becomes the focal point of the survey (what question 1 is about). So in question two, you would count your DSSD (in addition to any other watches, SS or otherwise) purchased from that same AD; in question three, you'd give an indication as to how many were stainless steel pro/sport models (again, prior to the Pepsi GMT).

So if the AD personally offered me a Ceramic Daytona, the watches mentioned in questions 2&3 would be the ones that led up to it- i.e., a two-tone Datejust, a Submariner, etc.

PM me know if you need any answers changed. Thanks again!
