Got my new Omega! Two-tone beauty...
OK guys,
I have been searching long and hard and have come close a couple times to some Omegas that I thought I liked as a long term daily wearer but now that things have settled down at my work place I pulled the trigger on this beauty and picked her up in person from the seller this past Saturday. Seeing the pics had me drooling for this watch! I have never owned a Titanium watch before and have never had a two tone either though a watch with both has always appealed to me. The seamaster is my fave in the Omega line and I have owned many over the years. The bond version has never appealed to me as much as the 300m version with those beautiful sword hands. Now I have a watch that sports 18k red gold and is light as a feather titanium and I can not describe how beautiful this combination is on my wrist. The glossy black dial fits so well with the Ti and gold. The red accents of the timers and the tip of the chrono hand is just the right colour accent. The blazing brightness of the lume can light up the room at night as well (I'd almost forgotten how bright these sword hands are with a little charging!) I have been wearing it all day today and may even sleep with it on as it just refuses to leave my wrist! Best part is that the seller had it fully serviced by Omega recently as well and they even replaced the pushers, HE valve and crown. I am ecstatic to be wearing the "seahorse" on my wrist again and believe I have finally found my keeper! Here are the details from Omega: Titanium-Red gold on titanium Reference: 2294.52.00 MOVEMENT Caliber: Omega 3301 Self-winding chronograph with column wheel mechanism. Officially certified chronometer. Rhodium-plated finish. Power Reserve: 52 hours CRYSTAL Domed anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal CASE & DIAL 18ct. red gold - titanium case Black dial WATER RESISTANCE Down to: 300 meters 1000 feet size Gents Case Diameter: 41.5 mm Does anyone have any pics of their two-tone Omega that they would like to share? More wrist shots of my baby to come...

Congratulations!!! What a beauty!!!
Hello Ren!
So everything did go well and you got it!!! This has got to be one of the most stunning, beautiful and I dare say "perfect" TT-watches Omega has ever produced (actually it ranks up there in TT-heaven of any company!)...! Well done, well chosen and well deserved!!! Congratulations!!! Wear it in good health! I can perfectly understand your excitement, and I'm also very happy that you are "voicing" it so ecstatic too!!! Glad it all worked out so nicely. It was even fully serviced too! A Titanium watch is always a treat, but combining Titanium with red gold makes for both a visual & technical feast...!!! I'm sure the watch holds amazingly nice in your hand... the feel of Titanium (as you describe it) is indeed great! Like you, I am also a great admirer of the Seamaster 300m non-Bond chrono! The strange thing is, I never got around to actually own one ... hm... maybe I should change that somehow & sometime... (but - as I wrote in another thread - I need to "behave" a bit for the time being...) But I'm really glad that you are so happy about your new one... A stunning watch! I hope it'll give you many years of pleasure and stellar service!!! Congrats again! All the best Petros P.S. I just realized, your new Seamaster made you change your avatar! What such a gorgeous looking Seamaster can do...

Congratulations. The red gold against the grey titanium is very unique. And those sword hands are great.

Again you have summed up my feelings on this beautiful watch so eloquently! I was also going to "behave" and not get any watches this year at all... not even one... not until 2010 at least. So much for that eh? I am very happy with this watch and it feels so good on my wrist. I have never owned a titanium watch but now that I do I prefer it to any SS watch that I have ever worn. The Ti feels so much more organic and warm against the skin than steel almost like top grain leather. The slate grey colour of the Ti stands out so well and really highlights the gold and red accents on the dial... I won't be taking this off (well maybe when I shower) for a long time to come! PS: Yes it has even caused me to change my avatar here on TRF! Very observant my friend...
