Bracelet not fitting ROO
Good morning,
I just got a bracelet I ordered and it does not seem to fit my ROO, does the bracelet require different screws for a bracelet vs a strap? Thanks Ric |

Did you buy the bracelet from AP?

Here you go, seller seemed to check out but I guess you never know. If it makes a difference my ROO is an F serial and this is a newer bracelet. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Fake or not I would try to return it. I would never buy AP parts off ebay.

What ROO are you trying to fit it onto?

ROO Black themes, it seems like the plots are slightly too short. It is very tight to screw them down.

Should fit. Go to the boutique and ask them to put it on. Worst case you find out it’s fake.
How much was it on eBay? That alone will tell me whether it’s fake or not. |

I do not think its fake. Can you post a pic of the watch + bracelet. You might have bought the wrong bracelet.

No, you shouldn’t need different screws.

Easiest answer is take to boutique and have them try and install it. Will know definitively then. But if I had to bet, 1800 list, accepts 1300, on eBay? Fake. |

Even AP themselves say that the fakes are getting really good now.

Sorry, but at that price, and due to the source, I fear you may have a counterfeit item. Hopefully you paid with a credit card or via PayPal.
Find some way to get your money back. If you send it to AP in Clearwater, FL, most likely they will impound as a counterfeit. Any documentation along these lines will help you/ help PayPal or a CC company get your money back. (IF AP says this is real - PLEASE tell the rest of us!!!!) |

I’m gonna go to the boutique tomorrow afternoon, I’ll keep everyone posted. I’m very experienced with Rolex but not Audemars Piguet. The finish on the bracelet is VERY good if it is fake. I put in a claim with PayPal and the seller accepted my return so if it turns out to be fake then I will be returning it on Monday.
Thank you everyone for their help. Ric |

AP are a big brand with the fakers so not surprised this would be very close and well made even if a fake.

In researching this, myself, I have found a couple different part numbers for ROO bracelets, and have been quoted different prices for bracelets for 15710ST, 26470ST and 26170ST. So... it may not be as simple as finding a "offshore bracelet".

According to the AP boutique the bracelet is real but does not fit my watch. They said the new style bracelets do not correctly fit on the older ROO’s

As you are already in Florida, I would certainly want to confirm a statement like that with AP Service Center in Clearwater.
Unless you are trying to put this on a very early (pre 2002??? - I really do not know exactly and hoping someone can assist???) ROO 42 case, I do NOT think there should be a difference in fitment. I can state with 100% certainty from personal experience that a modern style (authenticated by APSC as OEM) AP ROO bracelet will fit perfectly on a AP ROO Rubber Clad, and a early version of the Safari. |
