Good experience in Tourneau, Century City
I asked few weeks ago, where to get a watch appraised for insurance and got some good responses. I decided to call Tourneau in Century City Mall in Los Angeles, CA. Over the phone the guy told me that they will do it, only if you bought the watch from them.
So I got my receipt and went there, the salesmen recognized me by name, when I walked in, last time we met was in 01/2005! He was really nice and very helpful, he talked to the guy in charge of the appraisals and in 10 minutes, I had my appraisal done. |

This is really great to hear!
One positive mark for Tourneau! It's about time!

Hmm, I bought my GMT II from Tourneau South Coast Plaza in December, 1996. Perhaps, I should try ? (chuckle, chuckle)

Well, they had better change their tune as Tourneau is in some serious debt right now, they may have to close some stores.

pfft... I'm not congratulating them for doing their job or someone a favor. They're still in the red.

The salesman is really great person and very pleasant to deal with, he will treat you really well. When I first bought my SUB, I was 24 years old and he gave me all the respect.
I don’t want to post names, but is someone is going to buy in Tourneau in the Century City Mall PM me and I will give you his name. |

Tourneau Century City used to be a good place to browze Patek. Now they only have used PP. It's always been crowded there; I think I prefer smaller, more personal shops. I've noticed a lot of high rollers there buying DDs and other 20K+ watches. I overhead the salesmen talking about a customer on the other end of the store and mentioning that he's a big time buyer. Most of the sales staff were watching the guy. Anyway, they don't seem like they'd discount much. Anyone have a buying experience from them to share?

My buddy has bought several from Century City. I don't have any personal experience.
SouthCoast has one very nice salesman Farzan. Tourneau at the Forum Shop in Las Vegas is the worst and those two older sales ladies (late 40 to 50's) were just terrible in customer service. I walked into the store 5 minutes before closing and they even try to stop me from looking at watches. I had to remind them that there was still 5 minutes and they just stayed away and chat to each other, never greeted whatsoever, just "we're closing".....
