two tone daytona

I am in the waiting list for a ceramic SS Daytona( for a few months now) and this AD where I have bought some pieces before was offering me the TT Daytona. I want to wait for the SS ceramic, but they told me it may be many years, I do not know what to do, should I get the TT or wait for the ceramic? , I am in South FL.

Wait. Why waste money on a watch you don’t desire

Yeah, same. I was offered the 503 twice, once in black and once in white. It's not the same. Just wait.

Agree, that is why I am waiting, I really want the SS either black or white, just concerned that probably never will be called for the SS

Try on the TT Daytona, if you like it, buy it. Worst case you will have a beautiful watch to wear while waiting for the SS Daytona. If you don't like it then don't buy it.
I personally don't like the ceramic bezel on the current SS Daytona

I think a TT Daytona with black dial on Oysterflex would look smashing.

But that’s about the extent of my desire for a TT. Maybe a DJ if you’re going for that retro 80s thing.

I already owned a DJ 41 TT on jubilee, fluted bezel and the sub 114060, was really looking forward for a SS ceramic Daytona, hulk or batman, they seem impossible to get.

By all means, don't spend $14K on a watch that you don't really want! You only have two choices, wait or go grey.

You should find something else to do. These threads have become comical.

Come on Rolex. I KNOW you are reading these things. This poor guy doesn't know what to do. How can you cause such havoc on the general population for a watch that costs you....$3,500 to make? Fully costed?

You know, I think their advertising during the recent televised sports events may have had subliminal messaging.

I was at Kirk’s jewelers in downtown Miami last week. They have a TT Daytona. It was beautiful.

I may be in the minority here but I think the TT Daytona's are really good looking. It seems to suit the watch.

If you are here then you might be interested in watches that have exclusive followings. If so welcome to the new millennium, because Rolex seem to want exclusivity to be the marketing department. If you are young enough to wait, then wait. If you are wealthy enough to buy watches and jewelry you don't want then buy these items and move up the list with your AD. Otherwise, if you have enough cash to buy now, go buy the watch you want today and start enjoying.

You're not going to stop wanting the ceramic Daytona, and eventually you will be able to buy one.
So the question is will you still wear the TT after you get the ceramic?
If you will stop wearing the TT at some point, you need to do the math and figure out how much its going to cost you to 'rent' it until your ceramic arrives.

I'll be a little contrarian here and say go for it while you wait if you're feeling the TT at all. It's fun to be in the game so to speak and generally, the cost of ownership of a Rolex is pretty low and it's not going to hurt your efforts towards getting a ceramic and just might grow on you all the more. I've come to really love the sea dweller by owning one whereas I previously liked it but wasn't entirely sure.

get the two tone before those are unavailable - waiting for a ceramic is a pipe dream - the best Daytona ever was not a ceramic - the ceramic is nice but the hype is bordering on ridiculous now

Wait another day to decide and your problem will be solved because that TT will be gone.

Wait. You want to look at your wrist to see what you’ve wanted and smile, not look at your wrist to see what you settled for and wonder.

Indefinite wait vs TT now. Tough decision.

I have both SS and TT and love both. My advice is to try the TT and buy only if you like it. Don't buy it as a compromise.

Get a TT with exotic dial like the blue or panda with arabics, if you like them.
