doubt with reference of vintage Rolex box

Do you know that on a cardboard box was the Rolex box with reference 59.80.4? I know the box corresponds to the late 60’s

No, that outer box is from the late 1970s and into the 1980s. Most likely, the outer carboard box color from the 60s would be a solid color. Probably solid green.

That box depicted (the world map box) is from the very late 1980s into the very early 1990s - not the 1970s.

My 1984 18038 has that world map pocket watch outer box and it has a sticker on the outside of the outer box pinning it to the watch. Or maybe the watch was sold much later than 1984 originally and the AD grabbed whatever box was in the store at the time.

I was referring to the sport model boxes in my last post.

Your box would be correct for a Day-Date. My 1985 Day-Date had the same box. (The Day-Date boxes don't necessarily mimic the sport model boxes for the same era. During the early to late 1980s, the USA watches utilized the Bufkor box sets and the moonscape boxes were used outside the USA.)

The sport model boxes fit within the time frame I mentioned in my first post.
