Your account is normal. You have never been locked out.

If you are trying to reply to a post in the Sales Boards, you cannot; it is a locked Board.

Will an admin either unlock my account or refund my membership fee?

I'm trying to understand why I can sometimes post, and other times I cannot, thanks.

Is quoting one's self the same as replying to clarify question? (Sometimes it can be helpful to try putting one's self in another's shoes....)

I'm sorry for asking what many of you indicate are very stupid questions. Is there a forum with instruction -- instruction, not rules -- on navigating the template on which the site is based?

There is no "membership fee". Contact LOL-X the forum Admin if you feel you pledged forum support in error.

As to posting, there is no reason why you cannot post, so we are unable to address your issues without something more specific.

As mentioned, you cannot post to ads on the For Sale Board.

Thank you.

Being a "Pledge Member" made me think I'd paid a "Membership Fee." I now understand that's not what I did, thanks.

Do you know where I can find instructions -- instructions, not rules -- for using this site. Many of you make a living here, and spend many hours here each day earning a living. For interrupting, I am sincerely sorry; I'm just trying to learn.

Click on the FAQ tab at the top of the page, then click on general forum usage, that should answer most if not all of your questions.
No need to apologize for asking questions.

Actually the thing that bothers me with your requests is the exclamation point after whining to the mods. In this day and age everyone wants and thinks they are entitled to instant responses like they are the only one needing assistance. Take your time, read the rules, it's all there!!!!!!

my advice for any new member is to hang around a bit and get a feel for the place before jumping straight into the classified boards.

i cant imagine it goes well without a solid understanding of who is who anyway

Thank you all for offering help, and everyone has helped in their own way (with the exception of Knappo_1307, who clearly has voiced anger, while most have only expressed exasperation).

I gave a friend a mid-90s Datejust with an Oyster bracelet, and I was only hoping to replace it with a similar watch with a more legible face.

I don't know how much longer I get to live, so I apologize for the urgency I've conveyed, but you can imaging I'm in a state of fear.

Thank you, everyone, and if anyone thinks this thread should be closed, I'm okay with you asking a moderator to facilitate that.

Sincerely,

Doug
