Buying a Submariner 114060

Hey guys! This is my first post here!
I'm interested in buying my first rolex, but i have some questions that maybe you guys know about.
I was about to buy a 114060 from chrono24 for the "normal" price of 8500euros, but i stepped back and called some local official rolex resellers, and they have the price tag of 7000euros!!!
Immediatly i canceled my chrono24 order and now i want to know why the hell would the local reseller be cheaper than a online market.
Anyone could help me make the best decision?

There is no such thing around here as an "official Rolex reseller", unless it would be an Authorized Dealer who also sells used examples.

The online world caters to folks who do not want to leave the comfort of their couches and frequently sells for higher prices than store locations.

Chrono24 sells for whatever the watch owner wants to sell their watch for and is not usually considered a discount Site.

They may be 7,000 Euros, but they have no inventory, so it is irrelevant. Hence, why they trade above retail price on the secondary market.

You want to wait or you want to pay a premium for it?

If you haven't bought any rolex yet, you can't buy it at retail price

I’m back on the forums to sell mine, but ideally face to face and in the UK.

I agree with others here...you’ll find it hard to get one without paying a premium. For what it’s worth, none of the a Rolex dealers in the north of England have many of any sports models :/
